Open Heart Warrior explores the aesthetic of gaming culture by presenting a three-channel video depicting amalgamated virtual landscapes. The artwork consists of a bespoke lounge chair with built-in speakers, allowing for a fully immersive visual experience.

 

APD worked closely with Rafman on the concept development and manufacture of the viewing console as well as the tender for all audiovisual equipment for the multichannel video work.

 

The work was exhibited at Manifesta 11 in Zurich in 2016 and at the Seventeen Gallery in London in 2017.
